In a liquid state, lime honey has a pleasant yellow color, amber or golden hue. This variety is generally lighter in color than other varieties. A striking difference is the persistent scent of linden flowers.
Taste characteristics. Linden honey has a very sweet taste, but it can also have a slight bitter taste, which, however, does not spoil it.
Crystallization. You should know that over time it changes color and structure: after three months of storage, linden honey crystallizes (candies), and its color becomes from white to rich gold, depending on the type of linden from which the nectar was collected. At the same time, it should be noted: if this variety is not candied for a long time, this is a sure reason to doubt its naturalness.
Composition and calorie content. The composition of linden honey, which includes a number of vital vitamins, micro and macroelements, determines its medicinal properties. It is rich in B vitamins, vitamins C, H, and PP. It is also saturated with calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, iron and a number of other beneficial elements. At the same time, linden honey is quite high-calorie and nutritious. However, the amino acids that are in the composition contribute to the burning of fat in the body.
